Watch Shot wants to stand out from other platforms not only with its auctions and selected dealers, but also by selecting certain watch manufacturers. Currently, Rolex and Patek Philippe are probably the most sought-after watches on the market. For this reason, we have limited auctions to these two manufacturers only. In the near future, Watch Shot is looking forward to adding other manufacturers, always focusing on exclusivity and desirability.
Watch Shot auctions run for a period of seven, fourteen or twenty-one days.
Auctions start at 6pm with a lead time of 48 hours. Sellers are free to choose the starting day for their auctions.
Maximally 21 days post purchase. Once full payment is transferred to the trust account, dealers are obliged to send the watches to Watch Shot for inspection. After completing the inspection protocol, usually within one working day, your watch is then sent to the buyer directly. When the buyer confirms receiving the goods and does not exercise their right of withdrawal, the purchase price minus commission is paid to the retailer.
Silent auctions differ from normal auctions in two main ways. Buyers cannot see what the current highest bid is or when the minimum bid has been reached. In addition, buyers only have the opportunity to place a single bid for a watch. This type of auction is particularly suitable for very rare and sought-after watch models. Buyers are more likely to bid a higher price for these watches.
As a seller you set your starting price, a fixed minimum price to be achieved and a buy-it-now price for the sale of your watches. As a rule of thumb, the buy-it-now price should be higher than the desired minimum price. This potentially generates higher proceeds and can reduce the specified time of the auction through a buy-it-now from customers, which again leads to a faster delivery and payment of the watch.
No. Once the auction has started, the watch is reserved exclusively for sale on Watch Shot. If the desired minimum price for the watch is achieved or the watch is purchased using the Buy-It- Now option, a contract of sale is automatically concluded. Once the auction time has expired and no bids have been placed, the watch is released for sale outside Watch Shot. Up until the start of an auction, dealers can withdraw from the auction.
Sellers should send their watches to Watch Shot with a transport of valuables. Once Watch Shot has checked the watch for authenticity and all other specified parameters, Watch Shot sends the watches to the customer. We send the watches by cash-in-transit so that the goods are insured for the full retail price during transport.

About Auctions
Regular auctions begin with a fixed starting bid. With Watch Shot, buyers have the chance to bid for a watch over a period of 7, 14 or 21 days. With each bid, the purchase price increases. The highest bid wins. It stays visible at all times, so the buyer can update their offer when outbid. At the end of an auction period, the winner is announced.
Silent auctions differ from normal auctions in two main ways. Buyers cannot see what the current highest bid is or when the minimum bid has been reached. In addition, buyers only have the opportunity to place a single bid for a watch.
When an auction has ended, the winner is informed by e-mail. In addition to the auction details, the email contains a payment request. Place the watch in your digital shopping cart to find all the details of the watch and can complete the purchase.
Sellers are not allowed to bid on their own products and are not allowed to place bids on other auctions. However, they can set up a buyer’s account if they are interested in other dealers’ watches and would like to bid on them. If dealers bid on their own watches and thereby artificially inflate the purchase price of the watches, they will be blocked from future sales.
If an auction is closed after the end of the auction period, the highest bidder will win the auction.
Dealers have the option to offer watches for sale with Buy-It-Now, in addition to the auction. You will find this information on the detailed view of your watch. Buy-It-Now is only valid until the dealers’ chosen minimum price of the dealer has been reached. By pressing the buy-it-now button, the watch is automatically added to your shopping cart and ready for purchase. If the minimum price is outbid before completing the purchase, the watch will be removed from your shopping cart at the same moment.
